Custom Power Chair

All of our customers are different and our versatile range of wheelchairs cater to this. Sometimes though, our customers have such unique needs that we need to go above and beyond, building a truly custom wheelchair for them.

The power chair pictured below is an example of what custom really means. We build something like this once in a blue moon because it makes such a difference to someone’s life.

The customer wanted an outdoor wheelchair that he could transfer into without assistance. Ashley designed the wheelchair so that it could lower all the way to the ground to make independent transfers possible. Once in the wheelchair, the entire frame articulates upwards. Even the seat in the centre rises to ensure the right level of comfort while placing minimal pressure on the knees.

As an added feature, we added red stitching on the black upholstery. Finally, look how low we inflated the all-terrain tyres to ensure maximum off-road capability.
